      About Us

Dr. Kerry Garrity has been practicing in the Louisville area since graduating from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. To fulfill her dream of practicing quality medicine in a warm and friendly environment, Dr. Garrity and her husband opened their own small animal hospital in October of 2007.
Dr. Garrity is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Association of Feline Practitioners. She sits on the Metro Animal Services S.P.O. T. board and on the board for Alley Cat Advocates. Louisville mojo has recently requested Dr. Garrity to become the sites resident veterinarian. Her role with Louisville mojo includes answering questions, participating in forums and weekly blogging.
The Downtown Animal Hospital offers state of the art medical facilities (including digital radiographs and full in house laboratory) and treatments. As a dedicated member of the veterinary community, Dr. Garrity and The Downtown Animal Hospital enjoy working with various rescue organizations, such as Alley Cat Advocates whose board she sits on, The Woodstock Animal Foundation, the Animal Protection Agency and Shamrock Foundation. Her hobbies include volunteer work, traveling and spending time with family.
Dr. Garrity and staff, with a combined 19 years of veterinary experience, would love to offer your pet the same love and care they share with their own pets!

Beth Massey grew up with a strong passion for all animals.
She has been working in the veterinary field for 12 years and couldn't imagine doing anything else. Her household includes husband Dustin, four cats (Fuji, Sushi, Omar, and Jacob) and one great dane (Lola). When Beth is not at work helping pets, she enjoys spending time with her husband and pets, riding horses, and reading.  Beth has been riding, training, and showing horses since she was a child.
Kiley Patteson graduated from University Of South Carolina with a B.S. in Marine Science.

She worked for a rescue organization and another pet hospital for a little over two years before coming to work for The Downtown Animal Hospital.

Currently, Kiley has nine animals total, eight cats (Mel, Flick, Weezie, Alice, Hilary, Dexter, Rex, and Guido) and a dog (Jaycee) and all of them are Kiley's perfect little angels (most of the time). All of them were rescues, usually fosters or special needs cats that she couldn't bare to adopt out. Kiley has always been crazy about animals and the number of them she has just proves it.

Meatball

What is a veterinary hospital without a mascot?

My name is Meatball, but everybody here calls me Meaty and I am the foremost feline of The Downtown Animal Hospital.  My job consists of giving moral support to people and their pets, laying in the sun, scrounging for treats, and greeting everyone at the front desk.
